Benefit Powda Wowza Palette Review
Benefit Powda Wowza Palette Review
I am back with another review for you on a much loved and popular brand. Benefit is, as I have stated before, very quirky and unique in its packaging and marketing style. They have recently come out with a few products that I have enjoyed very much. Benefit Powda Wowza is a limited edition blush palette trio which contains two blushes and a contouring bronzer.
What Benefit has to say about Benefit Powda Wowza Palette ,
Wear ‘em and wow ‘em, Benefit’s famous face powders are together in one portable box!
This limited-edition box o’ powder adds a holiday glow with CORALista, a coral-pink cheek powder, hoola bronzing powder, and bella bamba, a 3D brightening pink face powder. Use the mini brush included for unstoppable gorgeous on the go.
Firstly, I think the packaging is similar to BeneFit’s single boxed powders. It is slightly flatter but larger in shape and is very eye catching. There was actually a palette identical to this one, released last winter too but that contained Coralista, Dandelion and Dallas. That was also a nice palette but this one definitely got me excited because all the shades were the ones I really wanted to try.
Coralista is, as described by the company themselves, a coral-pink with no shimmer but a kind of sheen. It is very flattering on light to medium skin tone because I find that it isn’t pigmented enough to show up too well on someone with very dark skin. I do think however, that it is a universal shade and would suit anyone.
Bella Bamba is a pink blush which I think is perfect to brighten up the complexion. It is of similar consistency to Coralista so it is smooth and easy to blend. I really love the glow that this gives to the face and think that it is also a shade that would look great on most skin tones.
Hoola is a very popular bronzing powder especially over YouTube and the blogging community. It is famous for its ease of use because of its blend-ability, smoothness and the fact that it isn’t orange looking is ideal for contouring and using in all areas where you would like to give yourself a sun-kissed glow. I enjoy this bronzer for contouring mostly and feel that it serves the purpose very well.
Lastly, there is a brush included in this palette too. It is the same shape as the ones included with the single boxed powders but smaller in size. I honestly feel like this is just a waste of space and if there had been a fourth blush instead, It would have been a lot better. I find that most people tend not to use the brushes and applicators in palette’s because they have their own, better quality brushes. Having said that though, the bristles of this brush are soft and could be used if you are on the go.
This palette retails at £19.50/$28 and is available at Debenhams in the UK (and other Benefit counters) and Sephora in the USA.
Pros of Benefit Powda Wowza
All popular shades are in this palette
Easy to blend
Would suit almost all skin tones
Cons of Benefit Powda Wowza Palette
Packaging could get beaten up in your bag whilst travelling.
To conclude this review, I have to say that it is a palette worth getting. When you want to try out a few of the products but they are pretty expensive individually, this is a good way of trying them out. I probably would not buy Coralista and Bella Bamba in future but Hoola is a product I am very happy with.
