To apply: Dip tip of Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush (coat both sides of brush head). Wipe off excess before applying to eye. Work quickly as product becomes transfer-resistant once dry. To remove, use Instant Long-Wear Makeup Remover.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner comes in a glass tub a little wider and stouter than my Maybelline Drama Gel Eyeliner. It has a screw up lid.

My Thoughts on the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink :
I ‘WAS’ a gel eyeliner person until I got my hand prefect on liquid eyeliners but only CHANGE IS PERMANENT, Maybelline Drama Gel Eyeliner is like my all time favorite one, without any doubts, and I think it will continue to rule my eyes forever, but then after hearing so much about Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliners, I thought I would be really partial if I didn’t try it. So I went ahead and bought the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink. Black is supposed to be the most convenient and safest option when it comes to trying new eyeliners, I mean you can make it work by hook or crook.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink is a jet black color; it is a tad fainter than my Maybelline Drama Gel Eyeliner though, I shall do comparison posts on both soon. But it is almost a jet charcoal black. So I won’t really deduct points there.

The pigmentation of the product is crazy hence you do not need a lot of product and one pot should last you for a while provided you use it carefully.

The packaging is just like all the other gel ones available in the market, so nothing official about it. I wish they gave a brush along, it would be a double whammy for the product but then I am happy using it with my Inglot eyeliner brush which I reviewed HERE and the brush I got with my Maybelline Gel Liner. The packaging is minimalistic and sensible, no mess, no pains kinds.

The texture of the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink is creamy , I find my drama gel liner a bit more stiffer and thicker than this one. Being all creamy and soft in texture, this go on the lids gracefully without tugging or pulling with the brush. The formula is water resistant and smudge proof.

The staying power of the product is simply super, I mean even if you have super oily lids, this is the kind og liner which won’t melt or smudge or crease. Even in the extreme temperatures here, this does not budge for about the whole day ( read 12 hours, who wears makeup for 24 hours??).It stays put until and unless I try to get it off with olive oil or my makeup remover.

It doesn’t have a glossy finish, which is kind of important for me, since I do not really like black liners which have a glossy or shiny finish to them.

Not just for lining or tight lining I also use this on my water line, and it does not sting or irritate my eyes.

Other than this, Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner In Black Ink doesn’t smudge, fade or crease under any circumstances. I used it as a base too for my black eyeshadows for a few times and it stayed put without creasing or budging.

Here’s how it looks on my eyes,

It is a simple way of wearing eye makeup for me, I have a taupe lid color and then just the eyeliner and some mascara.

• Brush not available with the product

Final Verdict :
I am totally recommending these to you guys, I mean I know it is costly but then totally worth it. The creamy texture and the staying power of the product works out each penny you spend. I love using the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner In Black Ink. I would be a happy bunny if it came with a brush though.
