Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

Hello Emirati Makeup and Beauty readers!
It’s been difficult to wake up lately despite what time I go to sleep the night before! A few weeks ago, I had seen a sudden increase in Clarins Beauty Flash Balm posters in the tube station, on billboard and in magazines. Good PR team? Yes. Good customer feedback? Yes. I decided to pop open my laptop and do some more research into this miracle in a tube product, before splashing out £28. To be honest, any product that can give my skin natural radiance and make me appear wide awake, I’m all for it! Clarins Beauty Flash Balm has been on the market for quite a long time now and it has created it’s very own ‘cult’ of very loyal users of the product and it’s clear to see why.
After reading a few blogs, I quickly decided to read no further and try out the product for myself as it’s difficult to judge what will work for individual skin types. The sales assistant in Clarins assured that the Beauty Flash Balm was their No.1 selling item and most women aged 22+ are using it around the globe. I was sold on the word go!
Product Claims :
Instant Radiance Booster
The ultimate pick-me-up for tired, stressed skin — Clarins best-selling radiance maker helps eliminate signs of fatigue in a flash! Instantly moisturizes, brightens and tightens facial contours so skin looks rested and relaxed. Olive and Witch Hazel extracts help smooth the skin’s surface, diffusing the look of lines and wrinkles. Soothing Bisabolol helps restore skin’s youthful glow. Preps skin for perfect make-up application and hours of luminous wear.
Having used and tested the product underneath my makeup at least 3 times a week, I can agree with others when experiencing fantastic results. However, like most products with a strong USP they usually take time to get used to using the product correctly. The common mistake I experienced with this product was using too much when applying and also rubbing it into my skin, the way in which I would use a moisturiser. Having noticed my faux pas sooner rather than later, I carefully followed the instructions guiding users of the products to simply apply the Beauty Flash Balm without rubbing into the skin and instantly apply your makeup.
Once I had figured out the correct way to use the Beauty Flash Balm, I noticed a huge difference in my overall makeup. Whenever I use the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm after my usual moisturiser, I tend to skip the step of a primer. You may be reading this and gasping, as I know how vital a good primer is to anyone’s makeup. However, trading a primer for the Beauty Flash Balm is not making any sacrifice as this product does the job just as well, if not better. My makeup never appears patchy or streaky, yet this product gives your entire makeup a noticeably flawless, airbrushed finish which I love.
Clarins have got this product spot on with delivering fast and effective results, what more could you ask for! Although the product is expensive considering the tube is fairly small, the versatility of the product makes up for it. If you prefer not to use this product during the day, you are able to apply a thicker layer onto your face and leave to dry for 15 minutes, which it develops into a face mask and beautifies you! My mum has also tried the product on a few special occasions and the results she has are amazing; fine lines are noticeably reduced and less visible whilst we both agree that skin feels much tighter and toned.
I am yet to test the product on a weekday, as I feel that is the biggest test; travelling underground on a tube for an hour, walking to work and powering throughout the day. So far, so good on every application I’ve used.

Thanks a lot, I am having this product, you showed me how to use it correctly :)
Am eager to try this out after reading the review – do you think it will suit acne prone skin – for starters my skin hates moisturisers – I have tried so many but haven’t found one that won’t break me out so I am very sceptical of trying anything on my face!
I’m glad I’ve helped at least 2 readers! :)As acne prone skin is very unpredictable, it’s difficult to measure how suitable it is for you without seeing you. Where is your acne most prominent? If you like, this product works great just applying in certain areas such as under eyes to brighten before makeup. However, we have had clients who have had acne and this product has been amazing, for brightening before applying concealer – it changes the overall look wonderfully!
