How have you been doing? It’s almost mid week feeling the jinx? Not yet? I am already jinxed and gelled! GOD!! Anyways, today I am reviewing one of the most promising product in my vanity, I have been using this almost all summer and oath to use it all my life! :D I am reviewing the Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup.

Product Claims :

Tested for streaking and fading at 88°F with a constant 80% humidity, all to prove Stay-Matte stays fresh. At the same time, this patent-pending formula absorbs shine, controls oil, resists sweat. And you stay matte all day.
• Skin Types: 2 – Dry Combination, 3 – Combination Oily, 4 – Oily
• Coverage: Sheer to Moderate
• Benefits: Controls oil, absorbs shine

Comes in about 20 shades. I have the shade Neutral.

Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup comes in a transparent rubbery tube with a screw lid.

How To Apply :
• Apply after using your 3-Step Skin Care System.
• Start in center of face and blend outward with Foundation Brush or fingertips.
• Blend evenly for smooth, natural-looking coverage. For a seamless look, dampen fingertips and blend edges, especially along jawline.
• Remove with your favourite Clinique makeup remover.

My Thought On The Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup :
I have combination skin type, and with summers my T zone converts into a frying pan with oil and grease accumulation!! :O I know it is gross but cannot help it. It’s natural *throws that accent*

And you guys know I have tried and I am trying a gazillion foundations which will stay put in this melting heat of dubai!! Uff!!

So a while ago Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup landed in my vanity. Initially I was like, may be it could stay put or may be it could not, it’s way too creamy. So I tested it for about 4 days and then I was HOOKED!! The first day I couldn’t believe it, the second day I couldn’t believe it but on the 3rd day I gave in.

I have been using the Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup for about 2 months now, and what a gorgeous experience it has been.

The packaging of the product is handy and efficient, handy since it is a throw me in your bag and take me anywhere kind of product. It has a tiny hole for product dispensing, which ensure that you do not waste product.

Next, the shade range, I mean you get ample shades to pick and choose from, there is not shade left out for you to whine that you didn’t find your perfect match. YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR SHADE , with the shade range this product provides.

I am using the shade 09 neutral which is a good blend of pink and yellow undertones, I say it has more of these pink undertones which works well for my skin tone.

The texture of the product is thick creamy and gel like. Velvety texture, if you can relate too. It is certainly a mixture of a tinted moisturizer and a cream concealer, confused yeah? See the swatches,

Even with this thick texture, I bet you 500 AED if you find it equally heavy. It is a super light foundation. It feels so damn light on the skin, feather light? Getting me?

It doesn’t even clog pores or cause any of the pore clogging jazz. It lets my skin breathe and breathe light.

Blend-ability. Now being this creamy and thick, you must be wondering how it blends, trust me it blends like a dream. I mean it is simply gorgeous once it comes to blend-ability.

I use my fingers to apply this, and then I may use a brush to blend it , but most of the times I work it into the skin with my fingers.

It has a flat matte finish, now it won’t show up as flat and dead on your skin, but it will certainly make your skin look naturally matte and oil free. Even with this matte finish, it doesn’t feel dry on skin, it is uber moisturizing. Has a super natural finish and this one doesn’t OXIDISE. See the swatches below.

The coverage is pretty buildable, but I would want to put it into the full coverage category. It gracefully covers blemishes and acne marks.

I skip my concealer with this for spot concealing. I am not talking about the under eye concealer.
Not just this, I skip my primer as well. I mean I feel the gel like consistency of this product smoothens my skin as well.

The staying power, the USP of the product. This product literally clings to my skin. I mean not everything clings to my skin. SERIOUSLY.

The second USP of the product, it’s ability to control oil on my skin. I mean it does it and it shows, I do not get a greasy t zone any more, with this one, I mean it gets a little oily but then I can live with it.

Also this product doesn’t need a setting with a powder, but then if you really want a long wear, go ahead and have some loose powder on!!

In this blazing heat of this dessert, this is one of the bases which has not let me down in terms of staying power.

Moreover it didn’t break me out or cause any irritation or skin problems. Ain’t it just GREAT?

Final Verdict :
I am in LOVE with this product!! I mean it is a perfect base for the combination- oily skin types. If you have a super oily skin, you can go ahead with a primer followed by this. Trust me this foundation is a must have in your vanity at least for the UAE summer sakes. I bet you won’t regret this purchase.
