Hello Ladies,
Today I shall be reviewing the Dior Diorshow Eyeliner.City Center has finally opened in Fujairah !finally!!!!and it has Paris Gallery!Yay!!!So off I went to Paris Gallery and bought some goodies!!!I went to buy Dior’s latest range of addict extreme lipsticks and I ended up buying a ton of other products. One of my purchases was this Diorshow waterproof retractable eyeliner.

Product Claims:
The latest of the Dior liners, Diorshow Waterproof Liner, adds intense emphasis to the eyes. Presented in a retractable pen, its ultra-soft, exceptionally smooth formula, provides easy, long-lasting wear and incomparable precision.

Dior Diorshow Eyeliner adds a finishing touch to a smoky eye.

Packaging:

It comes in a mirror finish box and the tube is also a silver mirror finish container. Its a retractable eyeliner pencil.It comes along with a tiny sharpener too(love that!)it weighs about 0.3 grams.It comes in a wide range of colors and i got the shade Carbon(098).

I bought the Dior Diorshow Eyeliner at Paris Gallery for Dhs113. Its available at Paris Gallery,Areej,Sephora,Debenhams,Bloomingdales and Harvey Nichols stores across U.A.E.

My Thoughts about the Dior Diorshow Eyeliner:
I actually had no intention of buying an eyeliner that day.I am very content using Mikyajay’s Sabaya Eye pencil.I went to buy the lipsticks from Dior’s latest range of Addict Extreme lipstick but the sales ladies persuaded me to buy this. She tried the liner on the back of my hand and I was surprised that it didn’t smudge and was hard to take off. I always look for pigment and long lasting stay in any product and it is more so for an eyeliner as i use it everyday.(I know sabaya doesn’t score big with stay power but I just like it). So this Dior liner glided smoothly and it has a crayon like texture, not waxy though but its highly pigmented.goes on real dark.

It also came with a cute tiny sharpener even though its a retractable eyeliner and I was sooo excited about that!! So I thought that it has to be a great product and I didn’t bother trying it on my eyes and I bought it! Ok so here’s the deal-i dint like it one bit after using it to line my eyes.I have very sensitive eyes and i tend to buy eyeliners with great caution.This one teared up my eyes immediately(not too much though!) and I felt a slight burning sensation. I thought it might subside down a little later and it did but the color just faded.I thought this was a waterproof liner!!!and just with a few drops of tears the color just faded.

I lined the rims of my eyes and after just half an hour the color faded.I was so disappointed with this product. Maybe it is because of my over sensitive eyes.I was so excited to try this product but it was huge disappointment for me. Maybe it will work on people who have less sensitive eyes. The color doesn’t smudge exactly,it just wears off after a while and I was so surprised because it said that it is waterproof. Although it did stay put for a while on my eyelids ,I wasn’t too happy because I had just teared up!!!Its on of those products I regret buying and I feel so bad that I wont be using it again.

Whats To LOVE about to Dior Diorshow Eyeliner:

- Love the packaging.Dior has the most Luxurious packaging for its products.
- I was so happy about the Sharpner that was given at the end of the liner tube. Its very rare that you get a sharpener for a retractable liner.
- Highly pigmented.
- Once dried gives a powdery finish
- A wide range of colors are available.
-The sharpener provided helps you make it more pointy to achieve precision(most retractable liner tend to get blunt so they go on thick)

Whats NOT to LOVE about the Dior Diorshow Eyeliner:

- I don’t think it is suitable for sensitive eyes.
- The color fades easily.
- Not Waterproof although it claims to be so,at least for me.
- Eyes tear up easily and it tends to sting the eyes.But then again thats what happened to me.
- Its Pricey.
- I am personally not a fan of Retractable liner(although i have no idea what prompted me to buy one!) as i am not too good with them.

Final Verdict:
I guess its a liner that did not work for me.I should have first tried it and then bought it. Personally i wasn’t too pleased with it but if you don’t have sensitive eyes that tear up easily ,go ahead and try this product as it is a decent eyeliner that gives super intense color. Also it glides on very smoothly without looking waxy. once dried it gives a powdery finish and you can smudge it too for a smokey eye. Its not that cheap so i suggest you try it on your eyes before you buy it. For all you know you might just end up loving it. But its not for me so i think i am still going to be hunting for that perfect eyeliner pencil that wont fade when i line the waterline of my eyes.i have heard so much about Urban Decay’s 24/7 eyeliner and every time i go to Sephora it is out of stock.Is it that good for it to be out of stock all the time????
