I was given a jar of Dior Hydra Life Pro Youth Sorbet Crème, which I’ve been using on and off for a while. If you haven’t heard of this cream and you have skin which is in need of hydration, you need to try it!

Our everyday lifestyles cause dehydration whether or not we recognise it; this can often cause dullness in our skin’s appearance or the more obvious dry, flaky patches. These may be the results of factors which we are not able to prevent, such as turning down the AC in your office because your boss is sweating like mad or concealing your face when travelling via public transport. However, there are things we CAN do to help our skin by altering our daily skin regime, with the simplicity of changing our face cream.

Working in the city in London, I use the underground on a daily basis as well as walk along a river to get to work every morning. By the time I reach home in the evenings, I can’t help but notice my skin is often looking dull with dull patches.

When I was given this jar of cream, I didn’t know very much about it so I used it without much expectation. I have always been slightly uncertain about the skincare performance vs. high prices from luxury fashion house brands, but my mind has truly changed! After a few days of wearing this cream, not only was my makeup gliding onto my skin smoother, but my skin after washing was noticeably softer and supple. It was only since using the Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Crème that I realised how severely dehydrated my skin was previously.

Normal to combination skin.

This fine, melt-away creme envelops the skin with immediate and intense freshness. The ultra-fine texture glides deliciously over the skin and transforms into water for immediate surface hydration. The skin is fully hydrated, luminous and incredibly even. Apply morning and/or evening to face and neck.

The consistency of this cream is silky smooth and it absorbs into your skin fairly quickly, which is a bonus when you’re in a rush applying your makeup in the morning! I love that this product doesn’t have much of a scent, as this can be overbearing. Have a fresh, non-scent also allows this product to be easily shared with males in your home and younger teens.

Although the price of this moisturiser is quite steep, it’s clear to see that a little goes a long way as the sorbet crème is easily spreadable across your entire face. Designed for those with normal and combination skin, I have experienced it to also work wonders on any dry skin on my face without highlighting any flaws. It is hydrating enough for all seasons, which combats oily skin yet moisturises enough to diminish dryness and gives the appearance of brighter skin. The jar states that it is for normal and combination skin, yet I believe if you overuse on your ‘prone to oil’ areas of your face, you will need to carry blotting tissues! I’ve learnt to use liberally for the best, most effective results.

It’s a shame it is so pricey, as the performance results are those that I would search for to achieve the perfect skin. I’m not sure I will be repurchasing this item when it runs out unless there are offers in department stores, but it will definitely go onto my Christmas wish list!
