How To Make Eyeliner Last Longer
Hello Ladies!!
Hope you guys are doing great! Today let’s talk on the most common problem which I am sure we all face, bleeding eyeliner!! Now here are tips on how to make eyeliner last!!
Now here are my tried and tested tips on making the eyeliner last!! Now I need not tell you how crucial UAE summers can get!! And I hate it when my eyeliner runs and smudges. I HATE IT!!!!HATE IT!HATE IT!! So I have my own ways of combating this problem.
At the moment I do not trust any other liner except the Sabaya Caring Eyeliner which I reviewed HERE!! It is one of the most promising liners I have ever really used. I am totally recommending it to you guys, like TOTALLY. But for people who cannot get hold of this prettiness, here are some tips which can help your eye liner last longer and better.
First and foremost start with a clean and hydrated eye lid. Dry skin can cause itching which will result you in touching or rubbing the eye which will further result in the product rubbing off your skin. Ensure that the cream is suitable to the skin of your eyelid. Ensure it doesn’t make your eyelid oily instead of hydrated and supple. I usually go for an eye cream like an hour or two before applying makeup.
After this I apply my regular primer onto the lids and let it be on till I do my brows. Until then the primer sets in and they I go ahead and apply my eye make up base ( I like to be extra cautious for a long day). Then I have a wash of a random champagne color eyeshadow all over the lid when I am particularly focusing on having the eyeliner do the speaking and when I am not using any eyeshadow I ensure I dust the base with some loose powder.
Then I start off with my liner, now frankly speaking I want my liner to be thick and jet dark black most of the times so for a long day when I am using a non-liquid or gel eyeliner I apply a fine line with a pencil eyeliner just to make sure the gel eyeliner has a base to cling too. After this I go ahead with my actual eyeliner.
If you are using a gel or liquid eyeliner, after you have applied the product, take your angled and get on some corresponding eyeshadow on it and dab it onto your gel liquid eyeliner. This technique is foolproof and it always works.
For an extra long hour, dampen your brush and dab eyeshadow onto the liner and then go ahead with a powder shadow.
This not only gives extra life to your liner but also gives that slight smudginess to it which looks GORGEOUS.
Use the same technique on lower lash line, whereas for the water line, just dip your regular kohl pencil/ eyeliner pencil into a corresponding gel eyeliner and line your eyes.
Tadddaaa!! You are done!!
Try these techniques and do let me know how they work for you!!
And then clear up the under eye and you are done!!!
