Home Remedies For Chapped Lips
Hello Ladies,
Hope you all are doing great! I have a simple question to ask, how are you guys beating the summer blues!! Like how do you combat heat? What do you wear, what do you eat? How on earth do you combat the heat? I would love to know, so drop me a line below with all your doings and findings for summer!! Amidst all this, here are some home remedies for chapped lips.
If you are someone like me who can’t leave their lips alone, you are prone to have the most chapped lips all your life. Do you keep on biting your lips like me? NO? YES? What? The first step to having pretty lips is to stop biting them. The first step you NEED to do from keeping your lips from chapping is, stop biting them and leave them alone. Biting or licking the lips makes them dry, just as your skin dries up on constant washing!! So stop stop stop.
Use a lip balm, 24*7!! Under the lipstick, above the lipstick, while sleeping! You need to use a lipbalm. Choose the one you CAN use frequently and won’t get bugged instantly!!
Save them from the sun. Use products which contain SPF, it doesn’t need to be a very high SPF sunscreen though even something with 15 SPF would suffice. Lipsticks, chapsticks and a gazillion lip products containing SPF are available in the market. La Prarie sunscreen is one of the best ones I used till date!!!! The sun causes discoloration and pigmentation of the lips, so AVOID the sun!!
Wear a lipstick!!!! I mean this is an indirect sun protection for your lips, plus it makes them more gorgeous!! So a double WHAMMMY!!
Have a look at your mouth products! The mouth wash, the breath freshener, the toothpaste and even the mints you have. If these contain some harsh chemicals, they may harm your lips and cause them to chap.
Watch what you eat! A lot of caffeine, or immensely hot foodstuff, causes pigmentation and your lips to dry thus causing chapping.
