How To Wear Colored Pants To Work

Hello Ladies,

How did the Sunday go? I am celebrating my kid brother’s birthday today, that’s the only thing which kept me excited and happy today, otherwise it was the first weekday blues for me!! Today I thought of discussing the “colored pants” on the blog. I mean it’s such a taboo to wear colored pants to office, I never understood the logic though!! I know they are bright and distractive, but then they can be styled as per the “formal” needs too!!So here are some ideas on how to wear colored pants to work!

Match The Color Tones :

If you are wearing a bright blue pant wear a shirt/blouse/top of the similar color palette. This basically doesn’t let the onlooker to simply focus on the bright hue of the pants.

Wear A Longer Top :

Another way of playing around with brighter shades is to wear a longer top. This reduces the amount of brightness in your outfit and kind off covers up the bright hues appropriately.

Match Up With Neutral Shades:

A bright and a neutral is always a WIN-WIN. So go ahead and match your colored trousers with neutral and safe colors, this makes them more work appropriate.

Metallic and Sequins:

You must be wondering that who wears sequins and colored bottoms together, that too to office! You can on closing day of the week may be, pair up a metallic or sequined top with colored pants.

Pair Them Up With Jackets/Blazers:

The most chic way of styling a colored bottom, is pairing it up with a blazer or jacket, this kind off adds that “FORMAL” touch to the whole look.

Wear White Or Black :

The safest option to wear a colored bottom, is to pair it up with a white or black top. This is one of the most balancing combinations in my honest opinion.

Wear Prints :

Floral or animal prints again play a balancing act. So go ahead and pull out those animal prints or the floral ones and put them up with any color pants.

Plaid/Strips:

Plaid or strips is also a safe option for balancing colors.
