How To Keep Mascara From Clumping

Hope you all are doing fantastic! Mascara clumping is not an issue which the very rarest of the women face, we all have issues with our mascaras. So here’s an article on how to keep mascara from clumping.

First and foremostly, my trick to make those lashes appear shiny and healthy is, before applying mascara or any lash product, dip in your finger in almond/olive/coconut oil and run it through your lashes. This makes sure your lashes remain nourished and unharmed by the chemicals. After that, just dab them with a tissue paper, so that the extra oil gets off. Now you have clean lashes to work with.

Next if you are using a primer or lash base, make sure you dab off the extra from the brush and then coat your lashes with it. Let it dry properly.

After that, take your actual mascara. Wipe off the clumps on the wand with a tissue.

Now start from the root of the lashes in upward directions. Wiggle the wand gently, back and forth.

Now that the lengthening is done, place the wand half way through the lashes, and work out the product at the tips. If the huge wand doesn’t help, opt for a mascara with a finer or smaller wand.

I prefer using disposable wands for every time you apply mascara, since this would keep the product from getting contaminated which in turn helps your mascara last longer, and also give you a better job done. This also keeps the clumping problem at bay.

Do not pump your wand into the tube, this lets air pass through the tube which causes clumping of the product. This shall also keep bacteria at bay.

Avoid using old mascaras, they would OBVIOUSLY clump.

Also make sure when you are opting for the second coat of mascara, do it whilst the first coat is half dried, if you wait for the first coat to dry up completely and then go for the second coat, it may cause clumping of the product and cause your lashes to get brittle.

The same tricks go with your lower lashes too, but make sure you use a tinier brush for your lower ones. Also keep a tissue below the lashes and apply the product.
