Lancome Rose Romance Palette

Lancome is a brand that many a time is overlooked I feel. Probably because it can be associated with the older generation but I do think that there is a lot to be said for some of their products!Lancome Rose Romance Palette was my first time trying out their eye shadows and Lancome definitely has some good things to say about this palette!

‘The striking eyeshadow palettes are inspired by fresh rosebuds that are just beginning to bloom in late spring. Subtle and sheer, striking a playful balance between sophistication and seduction.’

I would not normally attempt to even buy a palette of eye shadows that has such pinkish colours but Lancome Rose Romance Palette just stood out to me like no other. The fact that it comes in a gorgeous black velvet pouch with light green accents, not to mention the sleek looking palette itself was another reason to purchase it.

Firstly, you get a very light white-pink highlight shade. Then, a slightly darker, but still pale pink next to it which I assume would be for all over the lid. The two shades at the bottom are a bright pink and a peachy coral. The consistency of these shadows is soft and smooth. They blend easily but I would definitely recommend using a base as it makes it easier for the eye shadow to adhere to the eye lid.

I found that, as usual, the applicators that came with the Lancome Rose Romance Palette were pretty useless as it is definitely better to use a brush. The eye shadow lasted pretty much all day with a base and the colours did not fade at all. In fact, I really liked the pretty girly look these shades gave me. I love the smoky eye a lot and just using neutral shades on a day to day basis so this was definitely a little out of the box.

I would definitely say that there are more positives to getting this palette because it has shades that just make you want to go out on a picnic with a loved one on a beautiful summer day!
