Lush Christmas Classics- Info and Pictures

Some things are as synonymous with Christmas as mince pies and holly. Every year Lush brings back its most popular festive treats that people simply can’t go without – sometimes they look a bit different, but they are made with the same fresh, natural ingredients that are bursting with goodness to help see you through the festive season into the New Year.

This year sees the return of old favourites and some familiar faces from last year – all of which have been invented by the clever people at Lush … similar to Santa’s elves themselves!

Bath Ballistics
Invented by Mo Constantine in 1987. The Bath Ballistic is often imitated, but few compare to the original. Still a Lush best seller – with A-list fans including Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Kylie Minogue, Helena Christensen and Sarah Jessica Parker – each one is formulated with the finest ingredients and essential oils to cleanse both the mind and body. Simply drop into a ready run, warm bath and watch as it fizzes around the tub with abandonment, emitting its goodness into the water.

drop a Cinders into the tub for that sitting in front of a crackling fire feeling. Made with warming cinnamon leaf oil and sweet orange oil to lift the spirits, the scent is of almonds and cherries for a festive marzipan aroma. Popping candy tops it all off, to emulate that comforting sound of a crackling open fire. Vegan

This favourite has not only the deodorizing and aromatherapy benefits of a ballistic, but also shavings of bubble bar in to create a snowy, frothy blanket of white bubbles. Satsumo Santa bath ballistic (Dhs30)
satsumo Lush Christmas Classics Info and Pictures
traditionally children would wake up to find a satsuma in their stocking on Christmas Morning, so this is the perfect alternative! A zingy, fruity bath treat shaped like Santa and scented with oranges. Mandarin oil, bergamot oil and orange blossom absolute are toning for the skin and uplifting for the mind, helping to banish the winter blues and induce feelings of goodwill to all men. Vegan

Bubble Bars
Invented by Helen Ambrosen in 1998. Patented. We wanted to be able to eradicate the packaging from bubble bath, so Helen created a simple base of cream of tartar and sodium bicarbonate, to which all sorts of essential oils and fresh ingredients are added to create the solid bubble bar slices we know and love. This has also enabled us to cut out preservatives as well. Simply crumble under warm running water to create masses and masses of luxurious, softening bubbles.

Gingerbread House bubble bar (Dhs28)

this warming, spicy, stimulating bath time treat is crammed full of ginger powder to help increase circulation and warm you up on cold winter nights. There’s also a hint of buchu oil (that has a blackcurranty smell) and lime, to give it a fruity scent. Vegan

lush21 Lush Christmas Classics Info and Pictures
whatever you do on Christmas Eve, make soaking in the tub with this bubbly, relaxing treat one of your traditions. Crumble under running water and lie back amongst the masses of calming jasmine and ylang ylang scented bubbles. Perfect to help calm excited minds enough to get a good night sleep. There’s also some Irish moss powder (a type of seaweed) in there to soften the skin and make the water silky. Vegan

Soap
Lush has been manufacturing luxury handmade soaps since the mid 1980s. In a deliberate move away from truly mass commercial production with massive machines on one long production line, Lush has perfected the technique of making solid soap by hand using the “pouring” method. In 2007 Mo Constantine helped to invent a palm oil free soap base – so not only are Lush soaps not made with any animal fats, they also help to save the rain forests. This base is available for anyone who would like to use it.
