Lip Scrub : Lush Pow Wow Review
Hello Ladies,
I realized that the blog immensely lacks out on LUSH products, I will make a point to incorporate more, promise! Today I am reviewing LUSH’s much talked about product, the Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub. So here we go!
Product Claims :
Our festive lip scrub to make sure that you are ready for any mistletoe action.
Helen wanted to do a lip scrub for the party season that would have you popping with life and energy and keep you going all night.
We’re not sure what kind of parties she gets invited to with all that snogging on offer, but the rest of us lead a much duller life :-(
But if you are lucky enough to get those kind of offers, or if you just want to keep your lips at their best all winter, then Pow Wow is the scrub for you.
As you start to rub this on your lips the popping candy in this scrub makes using this an event. You’ll get the snap, crackle and pop effect as soon as you get going.
Then, whilst you’re enjoying the sound effects, you can feel the organic jojoba oil, rose hip oil and argan oil smooth and soften the lips. There is goji berry powder in here too, because it is so nutritious. But because this is our party season scrub, Helen’s put ginseng root powder and caffeine powder in here to keep you going all night.
Even when the rest of you is tired – your lips could keep going ‘til dawn!

Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub costs around 50AED and it is not available PERMANENTLY! But the other versions of the Lush Lip Scrubs like Bubblegum and Mint Julips are available round the year for purchase! I got mine around Mother’s Day a couple of month’s back. You get 25g of the product!
Variants Available :
There’s one gorgeous looking Bubblegum Lip Scrub, Sweet Lips and a Mint Julips Scrub available. These are available around the year while Lush Pow Wow is a festive release by the brand!
Packaging :
Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub comes in a tiny glass tub with a screw up lid!
My Thoughts On The Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub :
I am scrubbing-exfoliation-maniac, as in I need to exfoliate and scrub my face, my body, my feet, my hands, and my lips regularly, I feel that more the piling on of dead skin anywhere, the worst it is for you! I was basically very happy with my sugar and honey or sugar and oil lip scrub but then it’s been a while I decided to try these and this has become a prominent part of my lip care regimen and also before my matte lipstick routines! It is also a savoir for the winter season! Basically Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub is a lemony mixture of popping candy and all the “feel good” oils! Sounds YUmmmm??
How to use it :
I rub a little chapstick on my lips before scrubbing this on! This just helps the product cling on better to the lips! And then here’s how to use it,
Texture :
Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub has a chunky granular coarse texture to it!
What’s to LOVE about the Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub :
- The scent! It has this lemony tangy scent to it!
- The ingredients! Natural and chemical free!
- Easy to use! Like you just have to take it on your finger tips and scrub it into your lips!
- Exfoliates beautifully!
- It isn’t harsh on the lips since the popping candy keeps melting as and how you scrub it through!
- Doesn’t try out the lips, but it is very “ME” to go on with a thick layer of lip balm after exfoliation!
- You do not need a lot of product, hence this shall last you long! (Read about 2 months, with everyday use).
- Can be used every day. I use it every single day!!
- Edible! :P Yes it is an advantage, because by default you tend to lick it up after scrubbing.
- Keeps the lips soft and supple!
- Keeps the smackers from chapping during winters!
- It doesn’t have a specific shelf life, so you can stock them up!
What’s to HATE about the Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub :
Nothing, except for the fact that this is not a PERMANENT product and it is only available occasionally!
Final Verdict :
Overall, it is a delight to use the Lush Pow Wow Lip Scrub. I mean it does everything a lip scrub must do! I RECOMMEND you guys to try this and I am sure you will stock this up for a whole year supply! I am curious to try the Bubblegum lip scrub soon! These are addictive!

It is a candy and it looks so yummy! Haven’t noticed that it is a lip scrub! Really refreshing because it is a handmade cosmetics. I’m excited to have one but I don’t know where can I get this.
