Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub
Last month, October being Breast Cancer awareness month, all of the contents of the Glam Box had this wonderful PINK theme. And among them was this bubblegum pink tube of face wash starring at me. The biggest item in the box, Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash pink Grapefruit foaming scrub.
Now, I’m not much of a Neutrogena girl and I don’t really need an acne scrub, but since it is Breast Cancer Awareness month and it is a very fresh pink colour. I thought I’d give it a try.
Neutrogena® Claims that this scrub powerfully clears blemishes and blackheads with maximum strength Salicylic Acid acne medicine plus an uplifting blast of grapefruit.

The scrub coming in a lovely pink tube. We all know how girls love pink. And if this was on a supermarket shelf I could see how my hand would be automatically drawn to it. My thoughts on Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash pink Grapefruit foaming scrub:
As soon as I opened it, I was hit with this real grapefruit smell, which was very refreshing. When you squeeze out this adorable pink tube, a light pink gel oozes out with tiny microbeads which are supposed to gently exfoliate the skin surface.
After mixing with water and applying on the skin, it doesn’t foam up too much. It feels fresh and tingly and has a slight cooling effect. That is the salicylic acid working to clear out the oil from your pores.
After you wash it off, it leaves the skin smooth and soft. It definitely doesn’t dry the skin and you don’t feel any stretching soon after. But I did find my skin feeling dryer after about 3 hours.
Now I wouldn’t necessarily say that it is a miracle acne clearing product, but anybody looking for a salicylic acid cleanser, who does not have extremely sensitive skin would definitely enjoy this scrub.
As I said before, I have never been a Neutrogena girl. I used their Oil Free Acne Face wash (original, the honey coloured one) when I used to have a bit of acne many years ago. And I didn’t find that it really helped in clearing up the acne. It just helped in cleaning out the pores and preventing more from coming flaring up. And it was too drying for my skin. But saying that, there are people who swear by it and then there are those who completely break out with Neutrogena products.
So I guess its must be something in these acne fighting ingredients that some girls are sensitive or allergic to.
So if you are in already love with Neutrogena products or your skin is not as sensitive, maybe you would love to wake up to this new scent. It does have a wonderful fresh citrusy grapefruit smell, which is one of the selling points of this new line from Neutrogena, which also features an Oil-Free Facial Cleanser, a body wash, cleansing wipes and a cream cleanser face wash.
Neutrogena claims that all of them work with MICROCLEAR® technology, “a revolutionary technology that is clinically proven to boost the delivery of acne medicine to help unclog congested pores. With powerful dissolving agents, to break through oil to help clear the way for acne medicine to get to the source of your breakouts.
