Ahhh is there anything better in life to soothe tired hands than a wonderful massage? I think that is the number one thing I look forward to when I go for a manicure- the massage part of it! And the thing that makes a hand massage great is the cream that you use. Well if you can’t get a hand massage at the manicurist’s you might as well try one at home by yourself… At the end of the day when your hands are done and tired, treat yourself to a loving slow soft and steady massage using some great hand cream :) I would love to find my holy grail hand cream, but anyway in the meantime, here is an everyday product that I picked off the shelves of the supermarket – the Nivea Hand Cream Pure & Natural for Dry Hands from their ‘pure & natural’ range for dry hands.

Packaging:

The packaging of Nivea Hand Cream Pure & Natural for Dry Hands is a plain plastic tube, nothing fancy. Interestingly, the ‘pure & natural’ range claims that even their packaging is making a difference. As per a website, “Nivea Pure & Natural cartons include the FSC logo, signifying recycled, sustainable materials and responsible forestry management. Nivea has also reduced packaging to ensure that consignments take up as little space as possible, reducing the number of transport journeys required. Living, breathing, being, Pure & Natural…” Isn’t that nice? :)

My experience with the Nivea Hand Cream Pure & Natural for Dry Hands:
After becoming a mom, I found that even my hands had changed in that they suddenly aged terribly, every morning I wake up with dry, plasticky hands and swollen fingers. :( Really very sad, so you do understand why I would need hand cream. I have not much experience with hand creams, so I wanted to start with something inexpensive, so that I get into the hang of using one before I splurge. So with that intention, I had picked the Nivea Hand Cream Pure & Natural for Dry Hands up. The cream itself is thick in texture, spreads beautifully and delivers an immediate moisture-kick. The scent is light and fresh. It relieves dryness, and it feels really good to massage your hands with this cream, because it feels kind of oily. Anyway, a while after working the cream into your hands, the greasiness disappears, so it’s ok. The cream contains Argan oil which is a source of Vitamin E. It is sourced from the nuts of the Argan tree, and it has been used by women in morocco for ages because of it’s amazing effects. I guess it is the oil that makes the cream special.

My Verdict:
Nivea Hand Cream Pure & Natural for Dry Hands is not extraordinary, but it’s a nice, moisturising cream at a great price. Plus it’s all natural ingredients, which is something you don’t see very often. I would say it’s a good cream to try at least once.
