Skin Care Tips For The 20’s
Skin Care Tips For The 20’s
Now as the title goes this post is dedicated to all the ladies who are in their 20’s including me!! :D I would be turning 22 in the coming March!! I am ironically not very excited about that fact :P 23 sounds so pressurizing isnt it? Anyhow, with Eid preparations I was cleaning up my stash as well, to be precise I was going through all my skin care products and I realized that I need to put up a general summary of all the things “we” the ladies in their 20’s need to do!! So let’s get it on!!
20’s basically the age, when we hog, party, stress our selves, relationships and all that jazz!! And trust me it shows up so clearly on our skin. Anything and everything basically strains the skin and makes us look like S***t!! :D
This is possibly the age when our skin changes from what it was to what it will be in the future. I used to have acne prone oily skin during my teenage, but now I have combination skin type, which is weirdly dry on the face and vaguely oily on the t-zone!! So I keep switching and turning my regime, except for some basic products.
Like my Mom keeps saying, embrace the natural ways!! The kitchen is your lab, go and explore each and everything there!! Keep off the chili powder and ginger garlic paste though. I tell you, these kitchen shelf remedies may be slow but they are totally worth the time. They give you that inner impact ALWAYS!! And plus you are always off that “reaction” part!! So go and explore!! I have a gazillion articles for you anyways in this regards, go and try it on!! On that note, I am sitting with my curd and corn starch mask at the moment! :D
Next, know your skin. Be sure of what it is, if you can’t take help from skin experts. And once you know your skintype, choose your products accordingly. Do not have IMPULSE buys for your skin care products, stick to your skin type.
After this, set yourself a skin care regimen. Now this depends on your time availability and also your preferences. Make sure you have your CTM routine fixed for once during your whole day preferably during the night.
Moisturize regularly. I mean I have combination skin type, and I fear most of the times that moisturizers will just add up to the oil on my tzone. Hence I use oil free moisturizers.
Sun protection. Again I personally tend to get lazy with it. But then this is something which many of us shall repent later on. The sun contributes to skins aging and dullness, hence sun protection is very important. I am happy with my Eucerin sunscreen at the moment.
Stay away from anti aging products. You do not need to fret and jump into them as long as you are in your early 20’s. I myself sit and stare at those luxurious anti aging products my mum uses, but then we got to resist them. Get into them after your 27, I guess!!
Enjoy your fuss free and basic skin care routine.
Exfoliate regularly. Basically for getting rid of dull skin and dead skin.
Regular clean ups and facials also help a great deal. Also have appropriate face masks.
Not just the face skin has to be protected and cared for, also your body skin. Scrub your body regularly.
Other than this, DO NOT SLEEP WITH MAKEUP ON!! Get rid of every bit of makeup before going to bed. Have a healthy night skin care regimen, no matter how drained and fed up you are, just have it.
Sleep well *laughs*!! Eat well and drink water. Stay away from smoking and aerated stuff!!
Stay religious with each and everything your Derma recommends and suggests!!
And do everything which your mum says to have a good skin!! Trust me all this is going to pay off when we get into the 30’s.
So all you 20’s ladies, is there anything I need to incorporate in my skin care regimen? Tips and tricks?
