Summer Makeup Must Haves
Hello Ladies!!
Hope you guys are doing fantastic!!!! How was Friday!! I had a blast!! Will share a post soon on how my Friday passed!! Today I am enlisting the 10 summer makeup must haves for you all!! Now in the UAE summer never ends!! I mean I know it isn’t as horrid as the peak summer months, but then it is considerably hot and humid otherwise too!! So this article is basically entailing the makeup essentials for all reasons and seasons!! So here we go!!
First and foremost, a light yet full coverage foundation!! Now this depends on your skin type , I mean depending on your skintype, you can pick a liquid, cream or mineral foundation!! I ensure that my foundation is light in texture mostly water based but it has an above average coverage. I totally lived on my Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation which I reviewed HERE, through the summer, it’s only this month that I standard counting on my L’oreal Infallible Brush On Foundation which I reviewed HERE.
A primer!! You cannot live without this in Dubai no matter how dry skin you have!! I totally live on Benefit Cosmetics Porefessional and inglot under makeup base!! Read reviews HERE and HERE
A superior concealer. Again the choice depends on your skintype. On an everyday basis, I just have a light spread of foundation say 2 pea sied drops of foundation all over the face and some concealer for the redness and nerves. I count on my UNE concealer or Benefits Cosmetics Boi-ing Concealer.
A natural/matte blush or bronzer. Now trust me, shimmer blushes/bronzers are summer blunders, so opt for a natural looking blush/bronzer with a matte finish to be specific, now you can opt for liquid and cream ones too, depending on your skin type.
A good eyelash curler. Now why I mention this is, since a lot of time, I simply tend to skip my mascara and go ahead and curl my lashes properly and leave them as it is, the curled lashes give the illusion of having fuller and better lashes. Also curled lashes with a mascara are great for that no eye makeup look which is something I prefer a lot of times during summers.
A clump free mascara. In this category I cannot stop counting. I have a gazillion mascaras, but the Maxfactor False Lash Effect which I reviewed HERE and Arcanil Cil Cabaret Mascara which I reviewed HERE. A clump free mascara is a must have to avoid spidery clumpy lashes.
An eyeliner!! For summers although I love my liquid eyeliners, I would recommend a gel or pencil one!! The Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner is my unconditional favorite!! One of the best eyeliner ever to be honest!! Also the Sabaya Caring Eyeliner reviewed HERE is my favorite with liquid liners. Choose one depending on your lid skin type.
A highlighter!! Now I know summer and highlighters do not go hand in hand!! But you cannot afford missing out on a good sculpted face!! Do not go over-board with the usage. Just dab on some on the highest points of the face. I love my Benefit Cosmetics Watts Up Highlighter. It is the best ever trust me. Check out its review HERE. I would strongly recommend a cream or liquid highlighter since they blend well with the skin as compared to a powder one.
A natural yet colorful color!! I prefer matte lip color any day, not that I hate creamy and glossy formulations. But matte is my cult favorite!! Have a nu*e or natural lip color lip color handy for summers but having a little fun with colors wont do any harm!! For me it is the Bobbi Brown Lip Liner In Slopes at the moment since it is a balance between color and neutral for me!! I am in love with it. Check out its review HERE
Neutral Eyeshadow!! Avoid shimmer and glitter during the day for the eyes!! It is depressing to see a messy glittery eyeshadow!! SERIOUSLY!! So go ahead and pick those satin finishes and matte ones!! Bobbi Brown makes both of these finishes, check my review HERE and HERE
